SPOKANE -- Erik Meyer will sit out Saturday's Spokane Shock game at New Orleans due to a concussion, making way for Kyle Rowley to start at the quarterback position.
The team announced today Rowley will lead the offense after a five week hiatus stemming from a shoulder injury suffered against Dallas back on May 14th in Spokane. Rowley was eligible to come off injured reserve last week, but wasn't quite game ready according to the Shock.
Last year's ArenaBowl MVP is 3-5 as Spokane's starter in 2011, throwing for 59 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 65 percent of his passes.
The Shock face the VooDoo on Saturday at 5PM. The game can be seen live in its entirety on KSKN, channel 22.
