SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock placed quarterback Erik Meyer on Injured Reserve, while welcoming back wide receiver Greg Orton on Wednesday.

Meyer suffered a shoulder injury during Saturday's win over San Jose. By Arena Football League rules, Meyer is required to sit out four weeks once landing on IR, which make him ineligable to return the remainder of the season.

Last month, Orton was placed on Other League Exempt after he signed with the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks. Orton, in his second season with Spokane, was having a breakout year for the Shock recording 104 receptions for 1,361 yards and 31 touchdowns in 14 games.

Although this week’s lineup has not been released, Orton is eligible to play this week against Jacksonville. The Shock face the Sharks on the NFL Network on Friday at 5pm (PT).
