Seahawks help Baton Rouge high school team after devastating flooding

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks don’t just help out in Washington State -- their reach is far greater.

A video posted on the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge’s Facebook page last Wednesday thanked the organization for sending supplies for their players after damaging floods.

According to the school’s website, “Both gyms, the football field, swimming pool, and various sports-related facilities, equipment and transportation suffered major damage and are in need of repair and/or replacement.”

The Seahawks donated cleats, blocking dummies, pads, yard markers to get the high school's team back on the field.

“A BIG THANK YOU to Paul Allen, Pete Carroll, Erik Kennedy, Mo Kelly and the entire Seattle Seahawks organization! Episcopal School of Baton Rouge will be cheering alongside the 12th man!”

At least 11 people were killed after devastating storms and flooding in south Louisiana in August.
