SPOKANE, Wash. – 2011 is shaping up to be Hoopfest’s biggest year ever.
27,500 players are scheduled to compete this weekend. That’s compared to about 24,000 players five years ago and 22,500 players ten years ago.
Just more than 7,000 teams will play of 458 courts across downtown.
Events start Thursday morning with “Foodfest” in Riverfront Park at 11:00 a.m.
Day one of the tournament starts at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Competition wraps on Sunday around 7:00 p.m. with the 3BA Elite Division Championships.
