KENT -- The Spokane Chiefs got back on track Tuesday night with a 3-1 win against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Levko Koper, Kyle Beach, and Brady Brassart all scored in the winning cause. Mitch Wahl also registered two assists for Spokane.
James Reid continued to be solid in net. He made 37 saves, losing his shutout midway through the third period. Luke Lockhart registered Portland's lone goal.
The Chiefs, who had their six game winning streak snapped on Saturday against Swift Current, now stand alone in second place in the U.S. Division. Spokane is one point ahead of Portland.
It just so happens that the Winterhawks play the Chiefs at Spokane Arena on Wednesday night at 7pm. Spokane then wraps up a busy week by hosting the Thunderbirds on Saturday at 7pm.
