SPOKANE -- Spokane Chief forward Tyler Johnson has received a one game suspension from the WHL after being issued a major penalty for kneeing and a game misconduct in Tuesday night's game versus the Tri-City Americans.

That means Johnson will miss game one of the Western Conference finals in Portland on Friday night. He will return to the lineup for game two on Sunday night in Portland.

Johnson received the penalty 18:31 into the first period.  Spokane won the game 5-4 in overtime and the series, 4-2.  The 20-year-old has five goals and nine points in nine playoff games after scoring 115 points in the regular season.
