SPOKANE -- Four Spokane Chiefs will depart this week to attend camps with National Hockey League teams, including the three that were selected this summer in the NHL Entry Draft.

Brenden Kichton, the New York Islanders' fifth round selection, will take part in their rookie camp with the first practice set for Saturday, September 10th. The Islanders rookies will play a pair of exhibition games against the Boston Bruins rookies on September 12th and 13th.

Two Chiefs will then face off in a rookie tournament as Dominik Uher and the Pittsburgh Penguins will travel to play in the Ottawa Senators preseason tournament. Darren Kramer will be one of 23 players that will skate for Ottawa. Kramer, Ottawa's sixth round selection, will be joined on the roster by former Chiefs' captain Jared Cowen, who was their first round pick in 2009. The Senators' and Penguins will play in the first game on Saturday, September 10th. Uher was taken by the Penguins in the fifth round. The tournament will also feature the Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Blake Gal has earned a free agent invitation to participate with the Calgary Flames prospects that will play in the Young Stars Tournament in Penticton, B.C. The tournament, which will also have the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks and Winnipeg Jets, will begin on September 11th.
