Spokane scored the last 4 goals of the game to overcome a 2-1 Seattle lead in the second period. Eric Williams had 34 saves to pick up his 19th win of the season as the Chiefs won their 25th game of the year.
Dylan Walchuk scored his 11th goal of the season from Tyler King and Jason Fram at 15:26 of the first period to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead after one. Spokane outshot Seattle 20-12 in the period. Seattle would take a 2-1 lead on Jesse Forsberg's power play goal and Alexander Delnov's tip in 1:59 apart early in the second. Spokane's Collin Valcourt scored his 11th of the year just 1:07 after Delnov's goal to tie the game at two. Liam Stewart and Connor Chartier got the assists. Mike Aviani's 19th of the season from Jackson Playfair and Todd Fiddler at 11:40 of the period would give Spokane a 3-2 lead after two.
Blake Gal would score his second goal in as many games with his 7th of the year on a 5 on 3 power play at 11:41 of the third period to make it 4-2 Spokane. Brenden Kichton and Reid Gow had the assists. Kichton then wrapped up the scoring with his 11th of the season from Fiddler and Aviani at 13:32 to give Spokane the 5-2 win. It was Spokane's 5th win over Seattle in 6 contests this season.
Spokane outshot Seattle 50-36 in the game, going 2-9 on the power play and 3-4 on the penalty kill. Spokane will take on Seattle in Kent, WA on Tuesday night in the second of three straight games between the teams.
