LAWRENCE, Kan. --- So nice, they crowned him thrice.
Recent Shadle Park graduate Jakobe Ford made history at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Lawrence, Kansas, by winning the long jump (24-6 1/4), triple jump (51-7 3/4), and high jump.
His high jump of 7 feet and one half inch on Sunday capped the historic weekend for Ford. With the win, he became the first athlete in his division to win all three of those events at the same nationals.

He also claimed the triple crown at the state championships in May.
Ford's accomplishments on the track are unprecedented and he's heading to Texas Tech on an absolute roll.
He is who we thought he was, and that is a champion.
Congratulations to Jakobe!
