MEAD, Wash. -- Hallie Vervair is the captain of the Mt. Spokane High School girls soccer team, and she traces her soccer roots back to the age of five.
Hallie’s role as team captain requires that she set good examples on and off the field, train hard to improve her team and avoid off-field distractions like drugs and alcohol.
She also has a very busy schedule consisting of daily practice and schoolwork. She balances this schedule by working efficiently with other students and taking full advantage of the time granted in class to finish her work. This work ethic allows her to find great success on the soccer field and drives her to pursue her season goal of beating Mt. Spokane’s rival, Mead High School.
Hallie, #17 a midfielder, hopes she will leave a legacy of intensity when she graduates, and aspires to play collegiate soccer at Whitworth University or Montana State University, Billings. As she moves into this new chapter, Hallie expects that she will most miss her teammates and the special bonds she created with them. They will surely not forget her or her contributions anytime soon.
