W. Valley tops Cheney for GNL softball title

West Valley hopped out to an early 8-0 lead, and went on to beat Cheney 9-3 for the Great Northern League softball championship.

Cheney beat Clarkston 7-2 later in the afternoon for the two seed into regionals.
