SPOKANE -- Shadle Park and Central Valley celebrated Greater Spokane League district softball titles on Friday at Whitworth University.
The Highlanders won the 3A crown by rallying to beat University, 8-5. The Titans jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, but Shadle Park tallied eight unanswered runs.
The Bears beat Gonzaga Prep for the 4A championship. Central Valley blanked the Bullpups 6-0 to earn the top seed to regionals. Gonzaga Prep faces Mead on Tuesday to determine the second and third seeds to regionals.
