SPOKANE -- East Valley High School took home the District 7 (Great Northern League) soccer championship on Tuesday night at Gonzaga Prep High School.

East Valley and Pullman were also locked in a low scoring affair. The Knights took down the Greyhounds with an early second half goal, 1-0. The two schools advance to the 2A regional tournament this weekend.

West Valley also earned a trip to the 2A regional tournament with a 1-0 win against Cheney in the District 7 tourney on Tuesday night. The Eagles advance to play Prosser on Saturday, while the Blackhawks are done for the year.

In other soccer action, Mead outlasted Central Valley 1-0 in overtime at Joe Albi Stadium. That means Mead is the No. 2 seed top regionals and the Bears are the No. 3 seed. Both teams open regional action on Saturday.
