SPOKANE -- Ferris High School football players Drew Sharkey, Cole Lemer, and Kurtis Karstetter all signed with Idaho State University on National Letter of Intent Signing Day on Wednesday.
Sharkey originally committed to Eastern Washington, but he was only offered a partial scholarship. Idaho State offered him a full-ride yesterday, so he decided to play with Lemer and Karstetter at ISU instead.
Lemer was one of the top receivers in the Greater Spokane League last year. He caught 20 passes for 469 yards and seven touchdowns. He also played safety for the Saxons.
Karstetter played running back and linebacker for Ferris last year, but he's expected to focus on the defensive side of the ball in college. Karstetter is the younger brother of former Washington State wide receiver Jared Karstetter.
