A tiebreaker was needed on Tuesday night at Dayton High School to determine the two berths to state in the Southeast 2B.
In the first game, which consisted of two 12 minute halves, Waitsburg-Prescott beat up on Asotin 24-8. The loss sent Asotin home for the season.
In the second game, played solely for seeding purposes, DeSales slipped pas Waitsburg-Prescott 22-14. That means the Fighting Irish, 6-3 during the regular season, is the No. 1 seed. Waitsburg-Prescott is the No. 2 seed.
DeSales plays White Swan in the opening round of the 2B state tournament on Saturday at 1pm in Walla Walla. Waitsburg-Prescott travels to Colfax (the No.1 team in the state) on Saturday. They kickoff at 1pm as well.
