It was a clear choice for this week's top play in high school football around the Inland Northwest. Davenport wideout Cole Evers bailed-out his quarterback Nolan Lilje, who threw a pass up for grabs late in the second half against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Friday night.
Evers was one of four players around the football when he tipped it up to himself, came down with the catch, then ran 84 yards for a touchdown.
The effort may not have been enough to win the game, but Evers' catch takes home the "most entertaining" prize.
We're nearing the end of the Plays of the Week, but the fun is just getting started. Later in November, HS GameTime will unveil the poll for Play of the Year. All the weekly winners, including Evers, will be stacked against each other for you to vote on.
