CUSICK -- There's nothing better than a No. 1 versus No. 2 showdown.
hat's exactly what we had on Friday night in the HS GameTime Game of the Week. No. 1 Cusick hosted No. 2 Almira-Coulee-Hartline in a battle of 1B (eight man) schools. Both teams were undefeated (5-0) at the start of the night, but only the Panthers emerged undefeated after the game. Cusick beat ACH in convincing fashion, 64-18. Panthers quarterback Spencer Shanholtzer was the star of the show. He completed 14-of-20 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns. The senior, who doubles as a linebacker, also ran for three touchdowns. Shanholtzer wasn't the only one who got the job done on the ground. Cusick's Josiah Rhoades carried the ball 13 times for 213 yards and a score. ACH's Dylan Tipps made the most noise for the Warriors. He scored both of the team's touchdowns. Defensive lineman Reid Ashley also continued to dominate on defense, logging a safety early in the game. The options for HS GameTime Game of the Week are revealed on Monday. The winner is announced every Thursday night at 11pm.
