Colfax High School's Skylar Simonson wins the HS GameTime Play of the Week for his crafty bucket in a stunning upset of previously unbeaten Northwest Christian last Friday.

The Bulldogs took down the Crusaders to win the 2B district championship thanks in part to Simonson's big basket. The junior forward took a pass from Brandon Gfeller on the post, scooped his arm under a defender, and tossed the ball sky high. Thanks to a few friendly bounces, Simonson made the basket and gave Colfax a ten-point lead late in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs eventually beat the Crusaders 58-52.

Simonson only scored four points in the victory, but he definitely made them count. Colfax now faces Oroville in the 2B state regionals. That game is scheduled for 8pm on Friday at Mt. Spokane High School.

Simonson's play is now eligible for the HS GameTime Play of the Year at the end of the season. We'll put that up for a vote in a few weeks, so stay tuned.
