Pick the basketball Play of the Season
We've stacked all the Play of the Week winners against each other, and now, we need your help to tell us what deserves to be named Play of the Season for high school basketball.
It's a lot like the HS GameTime Play of the Year from the football season, but a bit more abbreviated. All four Play of the Week winners are included in the final poll, plus the play we picked from last week's action.
The first play we bring back, is East Valley's Erin Wallman's buzzer-beater to take down rival West Valley. Wallman's lay-in as time expired earned the Knights the coveted "Golden Throne".
The following top-play winner comes from Coeur d'Alene's Deon Watson. All Watson did, was head-fake a Moscow defender, blow past everyone in the lane, elevate and stuff a one-handed jam to bring down the house.
We head up north for our next candidate. Newport's Jake Wiley hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime against Chewelah. That was easily the Play of the Week, and deservedly so. The Grizzlies went on to beat the Cougars in overtime, thanks to Wiley extending it to the extra period.
We're going to throw in one more play you haven't seen in this line-up. Last Tuesday, Lewsiton's Tanis Fuller broke Lake City's heart with a game-winning bucket at the buzzer to beat the T-Wolves, 52-50. The hoop sends Lewiston to state as the top seed, now the Bengals look to contend for a title next week.
Make sure to watch all five videos before choosing, because you only get one vote.
We'll announce the winner on Friday, February 25th at 6pm. That means you're running out of time to get in on the fun.
Thanks for voting and making this such a great high school basketball season!
