If you look at their records, Friday night's HS GameTime Game of the Week between Lakeside and Chewelah doesn't look like much.
If you take a closer look though, you'll see this is a great football game with a lot of meaning in the Northeast 1A. The Eagles and Cougars are both 2-4 on the season, but they are both undefeated in league play. Chewelah suffered its losses against bigger schools before league play got underway (they lost to the Great Northern League's (2A) Deer Park, Medical Lake, Colville, and Riverside). The same holds true for Lakeside. The Eagles lost to Quincy (2A), West Valley, Medical Lake, and Moscow (4A) early in the season. They're now riding a two game winning streak. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm on Friday night at Chewelah High School. We'll have extended coverage on HS GameTime the show on KREM 2 News at 11pm.
