CHEWELAH -- The HS GameTime Game of the Week quickly turned into a blowout on Friday night.
Chewelah now stands alone on top of the Northeast 1A after a huge 42-7 victory over visiting Lakeside. Cougars full back Bobby Sulgrove scored two touchdowns, one receiving (62 yards) and one rushing (three yards). Sam Fisk, Chewelah's senior quarterback, did his share of scoring as well. He threw for two touchdowns, while also kicking six extra points. Lakeside wouldn't give in, scoring its first touchdown in the fourth quarter. Chad Brinkman completed a one yard touchdown pass to Brenden Herzer. Chewelah (3-4; 2-0) plays at Kettle Falls next week, while Lakeside (2-5; 1-1) goes up against Freeman. Keep in mind that options for the HS GameTime Game of the Week are revealed on Monday. Voting stays open until the winner is announced on Thursday night at 11pm.
