COULEE CITY -- Almira/Coulee-Hartline beat Wilbur-Creston 62-24 on Thursday night to advance to the 1B state tournament. The loss brings an end to the Wildcats' season.

Derek Isaak scored five touchdowns, while Colin Deyarmin scored four of his own for the Warriors. Their efforts helped Almira/Coulee-Hartline reach the 40-point "mercy rule" in the third quarter.

The Warriors now advance to the state tournament next Saturday, November 19th. Their opponent is still to be decided. The other District 7/District 9 play-in games are this Friday and Saturday.
