Lake City wins IEL tie-breaker, earns trip to state tournament

COEUR D'ALENE -- Lake City outlasted Post Falls and Lewiston in a three-way Inland Empire League tie-breaker at Coeur d'Alene High School on Monday night.

That means the Timberwolves earn the second and final IEL state playoff berth. It's Lake City's 15th straight trip to the tournament. They visit Eagle on Friday at 6pm in the opening round of the 5A State Tournament.

Coeur d'Alene, who finished the regular season 9-0, earned to league's top playoff spot. They host Mountain View on Friday at 7pm.
