Kyle Wiltjer is officially a NBA player.
After going undrafted, the former Gonzaga All-American has been placed on the Houston Rockets roster. Wiltjer averaged eight points per games in five preseason matchups.
Houston head coach Mike D'Antoni said Wiltjer brings two NBA skills to the table, and both are in regards to his tremendous offensive prowess. Gonzaga fans know this well as the Kentucky transfer scored almost 19 points per game in his two years in the Lilac City. He also averaged roughly 45 percent from the 3-point line while also snagging six boards per contest.
The Portland native is looking to help the Rockets get back to the playoffs for a fifth straight year. Both Wiltjer and Domas Sabonis begin regular season action on Weds.
