SPOKANE -- The end of the college basketball season means Senior Day for local universities. The Gonzaga women say farewell to their seniors on Saturday. Among those leaving this weekend is former Lewis & Clark High School star Katelan Redmon.

To say that Redmon starred for the Tigers is an understatement. She led the tigers to back-to-back state championships her junior and senior season, and was even acknowledge as one of the best in the country, receiving honorable mention All-America honors twice.

Redmon's prep success led her to the University of Washington, but not completely willingly. She signed with the Huskies out of high school, but after UW head coach June Daugherty was let go, Redmon wanted out of her scholarship. The huskies wouldn't let her go.

Redmon still made the most of her time in Seattle, starting every game for the Dawgs and averaging a team-leading 12 points per game as a freshman. She transferred to Gonzaga the following season.

Redmon quickly took her game and the Bulldogs to the next level. She helped lead Gonzaga to a Sweet 16 and Elite Eight appearance over the last two seasons. Not to mention, she's also represented to United States in international competition, among other impressive feats.

The Zags play BYU on Senior Day. Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm at McCarthey Athletic Center. A Gonzaga win means they win the WCC championship outright, while a loss means they'll split the title with the Cougars.
