A 12th inning RBI from Payden Cawley-Lamb gave Gonzaga a dramatic 1-0 win over Loyola Marymount, ending the Bulldogs' four-game West Coast Conference losing streak.
The game winning run came with the bases loaded and one out. Andy Hunter got on base with a single to right field, and advanced to second base on a Billy Moon single. A balk called on Aaron Griffin put both in scoring position. Griffin then walked Mitchell Gunsolus to load the bases. Cawley-Lamb's liner was nearly caught, but would have still been enough to plate Hunter.
Marco Gonzalez was the hero for Gonzaga through the first 11 innings. The sophomore threw 139 pitches, striking out 15 and allowing five hits and just one walk.
The thriller came before a record crowd of 2,011.
