Which seed does the Gonzaga men's basketball team deserve in the NCAA Tournament?
It's Selection Sunday! That means the Gonzaga men's basketball team finds out who and where they'll play in the NCAA Tournament. Until the brackets are officially revealed, the experts are left predicting the Bulldogs' future.
The Zags finished second in the West Coast Conference and didn't win the conference tournament, so they don't have an automatic bid to the Big Dance. With that said, every expert on the internet believes GU will make the tourney.
There's usually varying opinions on what seed the Bulldogs will get, but this year (as of March 11th) ESPN, CBS Sports, FOX Sports and Yahoo! Sports all have Gonzaga pegged as an 8-seed, while Bracketography.com has the Zags as an 8-seed.
As for who and where the Bulldogs are going to play, there are several different ideas:
-- ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Gonzaga facing Alabama in Greensboro, North Carolina.
-- CBS Sports' Jerry Palm also has the Bulldogs against the Crimson Tide in Greensboro.
-- FOX Sports' Andy Bottoms has the Zags taking on Purdue in Pittsburgh.
-- Bracketography.com has GU battling Harvard in the opening round in Greensboro.
We'll officially find out who, when, where Gonzaga will play, and what seed the Zags receive during the NCAA Selection Show at 3pm. You can only watch that exclusively on KREM 2.
