SPOKANE -- The NCAA Women's Basketball Spokane Regional gets underway in Spokane today. Sweet 16 games don't actually start until tomorrow, but all the teams here have a media availability and practice at Veterans Memorial Arena today.

Gonzaga and Louisville play in the early game tomorrow (6pm/ESPN), so that means they go first today. The Cardinals' press conference begins at 10:45am. They then take the court for practice at 11:30am. While Louisville is on the hardwood, Gonzaga is available to the media. Their press conference starts at 12:25pm. The Bulldogs then practice from 1:10pm-2:40pm at the arena.

UPDATE: Here are some pictures from Gonzaga's media availability and practice: Janelle Bekkering being interviewed, our photographer Brett Allbery making a goofy face with Kayla Standish getting interviewed in the background, the team warming up before practice, and a view from up top of the women practicing at the arena. For more behind-the-scenes coverage, be sure to follow KREM 2 Sports Director Tim Lewis on Twitter @TLKREM2.

Stanford and North Carolina face-off in the late game tomorrow (8:30pm/ESPN). That means they won't see the podium or the floor until later in the afternoon. Stanford, the No. 1 seed, is available to the media starting at 2pm (with practice at 2:45pm), while the Tar Heels are available beginning at 3:40pm (practice at 4:25pm).

All events are closed to the public today, but we'll do our best to bring the fun to you. We have uncut interviews from Louisville and Gonzaga posted on our website right now, and we'll have full coverage of practice day tonight on KREM 2 News.
