SPOKANE -- Gonzaga women's basketball head coach Kelly Graves announced the addition of junior Lindsay Sherbert to the 2012-13 Bulldogs squad on Friday.
Sherbert, a 6-foot guard/forward, is transferring to Gonzaga from the University of California and will redshirt the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules.
"Lindsay is an absolutely perfect fit for our style," stated Graves. "I believe she has the opportunity to not only be one of the best players in our conference, but one of the best players on the West Coast and even beyond. She is a great young woman, strong student and great teammate with an amazing basketball resume."
Sherbert played in all 35 games and started 21 at Cal as a sophomore in 2011-12. She finished the season scoring 182 points, grabbing 97 rebounds, dishing out 15 assists and making 20 steals, and leading the Golden Bears in 3-pointers made with 38 and was named Pac-12 All-Academic team honorable mention.
As a freshman, Sherbert appeared in 33 games and started 31. She ended the season fourth on the team in scoring (8.1 ppg) and rebounding (4.8 rpg).
