SPOKANE -- The Gonzaga men's basketball team officially announced the signing of Guy Landry on Friday.
Landry, a 6'5" 210lbs. forward, was born in the Ivory Coast. He helped Midland College to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national championship this past season.
“Guy brings a lot of winning qualities to the table,” Gonzaga head coach Mark Few said. “His ability to play hard and compete is going to allow him to be a successful player at Gonzaga.”
Landry, who is also known as Guy Landry Edi, averaged 9.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg and shot 40 percent from 3-point range last season. He's played for both the French and Ivory Coast national teams, but he played high school basketball in California.
