After falling in yesterday's WCC championship game, the Gonzaga baseball team was left on the outside of the 64-team NCAA Tournament field, looking in. The bracket was announced this morning at 9:30 a.m. pacific time. Hoping to receive an at-large bid to the big dance, the Zags' regular season resume (32-19-1) proved unworthy in the selection committee's eyes. Sunday's 4-2 loss to San Francisco turns out to be GU's final game of the season, as the Dons clinched the conference automatic bid. USF will first face UCLA in the double-elimination regional round in Westwood at the Bruins home park. The Pac-10 sent six teams to the tournament.
