SPOKANE -- The Gonzaga women's basketball team climbed two spots to No. 21 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll on Tuesday. On Monday, the Zags moved back into the Associated Press Top 25, checking in at No. 25.
Gonzaga clinched at least a share of its eighth-straight West Coast Conference regular-season title with two victories last week. The Bulldogs defeated Santa Clara 87-55 and earned a 66-40 decision over Pepperdine.
The Zags, 24-4 overall and 13-2 in league, can win the WCC title outright Saturday with a victory over BYU. The game is set to tip-off at 2pm at McCarthey Athletic Center. It's already soldout.
