SPOKANE, Wash. -- Former Zags player, Dan Dickau, says he never intentionally took part in the crazy hair tradition that has become a mainstay on the team.

It's not really clear how or when the tradition got started, but no matter how you look at it there is a history of hair on the Bulldog basketball team.

"My hair started because I just didn't want to go out and spend 15 dollars to get a haircut," said Dickau.

Dickau says it's become as much a part of the team as playing the game itself.

He even said he would choose his hair cut as the best Gonzaga haircut of all time.

"Unfortunately, mine's starting to go a little gray now, but maybe I'll throw some highlights in there and I'll win that number 1 ranking back," said Dickau.

There is a new basketball bracket for Zag fans. KREM 2 News is launching the 'Best GU 'Do' bracket and letting you choose the most outrageous hairstyles to grace the Gonzaga hardwood.

The voting is open now online. It's all for fun and only takes a few seconds to vote in the first matchups. Round one voting lasts for one week.
