SEATTLE -- Former Lewis & Clark High School and Gonzaga basketball star Heather Bowman is a longshot to make the Seattle Storm roster, but don't count her out just yet.
Bowman, an undrafted free agent getting a chance to make the roster at Storm training camp, is making her mark with Seattle head coach Brian Alger. He said Bowman has been "impressive," but also added that it "might be difficult for her to make the team."
The 6'1" forward is one of the greatest women basketball players in Gonzaga and West Coast Conference history. She finished her four-year career with 2,133 points, 864 rebounds, and 156 steals.
The Storm open the regular season on May 16th at home against Los Angeles, but they have two preseason games before that on May 2nd at home against Phoenix and May 9th at Tulsa. The Shock selected Gonzaga's Vivian Frieson in the third round of the WNBA Draft.
