PROVO -- Brigham Young University has finally made up its mind.
BYU says it is leaving the Mountain West Conference and will go independent in football while joining the West Coast Conference in all other sports in the 2011-2012 school year.
BYU had an agreement to join the Western Athletic Conference in everything but football earlier this month, but that fell apart when the MWC invited Nevada and Fresno State to leave the WAC for their conference.
The WCC confirmed that BYU is joinging the conference in a statement, but they won't make anymore comments until BYU's press conference on Wednesday.
