SPOKANE -- Since Mark Few took over, Gonzaga has never gone into the postseason following a loss. There was concern that could change last week after two defeats, and with a trip to Saint Mary's ahead of Las Vegas.
That trend continued, though, thanks to a win at Pacific and a dominant performance over the Gaels. Few said they were efficient on both ends of the floor and played with more physicality.
David Stockton added that it was good for the other teams to see GU play like they did.
Now it is on to the West Coast Conference Tournament, starting with either Pacific or Santa Clara Saturday in the quarterfinals. The Bulldogs will take the court feeling a bit better than they did a week ago.
"We made kind of a statement, and hopefully we can continue this," Kevin Pangos said.
The Zags take the court in Las Vegas Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
