SEATTLE - These days former Zag Katelan Redmon is enjoying being home, or at least as close to home as possible while chasing her WNBA dreams.
The Lewis & Clark grad opened training camp with the Seattle Storm Sunday. Redmon played a year at Washington, and has family in Tacoma as well.
Now the two-time All-WCC guard is hoping her year of pro experience will pay off with a permanent roster spot. She was drafted by the New York Liberty last year and ended up playing in seven WNBA games. Most recently she played professionally in Israel.
There are a lot of new faces in Seattle's camp. Redmon is hoping to do the little things necessary to earn her keep.
"There's a lot of open spots," Redmon said. "I'm just going to work as hard as I can to hopefully earn one of those."
