MOSCOW, Idaho – Join the University of Idaho Athletic Department and the Moscow of Chamber of Commerce as they salute the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl champion Vandals with a parade through Moscow on Saturday.

“This is a fitting way to celebrate the achievements of our football student-athletes and coaches, and at the same time to thank the community of Moscow for being an integral part of our great Vandal family,” Idaho athletic director Rob Spear said.

The parade begins at 2 pm at the corner of Main and D streets in downtown Moscow. It will continue south on Main Street before heading west on Sixth. It concludes at Sixth and Rayburn on the Idaho campus. Following the parade there is an autograph session at the Kibbie Dome where fans will have a chance to meet the Vandal football players and coaches, and have their pictures taken with the trophy.

Featured speakers before the autograph session are head coach Robb Akey, Spear, and Moscow mayor Nancy Chaney. Immediately following the autograph session, the Vandal men’s basketball team tips off against Western Athletic Conference rival Utah State at 5 pm.
