MOSCOW - Starting quarterback Dominique Blackman and linebacker Conrad Scheidt are no longer on the Idaho football team.
Saturday Night, a source told KREM 2 that Blackman was kicked off the team due to a failed drug test.
The University of Idaho released a statement on the dismissals Sunday:
"Dominique Blackman and linebacker Conrad Scheidt have been dismissed from the team for violating team rules. Tight end Taylor Elmo has been suspended for violating athletic department policy, the department announced Sunday."
Blackman was suspended the first-game of this season.
The junior QB took the Vandals to a 1-6 Record this season. In those games he completed 167 of 265 pass attempts for 1,610 yards nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Scheidt appeared in three games this season, with 23 tackles, 2.5 for loss. Elmo has played in four games, tallying two receptions for 11 yards.
