SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock worked hard during the regular season to secure home-field advantage through out the playoffs, so now they're really hoping all of that effort will pay off.
It's the National Conference Championship and the Shock are afraid people won't show up to the game. That's because Spokane faces the Milwaukee Iron on Thursday at 5pm at Veterans Memorial Arena. That's a tough time for fans to make it to a game.
Add on top of that, the battle will be televised on the NFL Network. It gives the Shock national exposure, but it also gives people a reason to watch the game at home instead of at the arena.
We asked the Shock how many tickets were still available on Tuesday. They didn't have an exact number. All they would tell us is "tons".
Vetarans Memorial Arena is trying to help the cause by offering $1 soda and popcorn for the game.
If fans show up or not, the game is sure to be a wild one. The Shock and Iron each won a game during their regular season series. This time, there's a trip to the ArenaBowl on the line.
We'll have you covered from head-to-toe on Thursday, so be sure to stay tuned to KREM 2 News and KREM.com for highlights, post game reaction, and much more.
