CHENEY -- The running game will be the key to success when Eastern Washington faces North Dakota State in the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs of Saturday.

The Bison are led by running back D.J. McNorton. He ranks 14th in the nation with 110.4 yards per game. Last week against Montana State, he scampered for 209 yards and four touchdowns. Needless to say, McNorton will be a main focus for the EWU defense (and spectators at Roos Field) this weekend.

As for Eastern, they're paced by running back Taiwan Jones. He ranks fourth in the country in rushing yards, averaging more than 137.5 yards per contest this season. He's also dangerous in the passing game. Jones has 24 catches for 342 yards this season. He has 16 total touchdowns.

That means fans will be treated to quite a show on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30pm at Roos Field in Cheney. We'll have full coverage that night on KREM 2 News and KREM.com.
