KREM 2 is re-launching a campaign to generate more recognition for Jerry Kramer, an NFL great still hoping for a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Kramer was a high school star in Sandpoint, and went on to play for the University of Idaho. In 1958 the Green Bay Packers drafted Kramer, marking the beginning of his outstanding career. He helped guide the Packers to five championships, including the first two Super Bowls. From his guard position he made All-Pro five times. Since retiring in 1968 he's been a finalist for the hall of fame 10 times, but never got in.
This summer KREM 2 will show you the process of what it takes to be selected, as well as more stories of Kramer's career. The hall's senior committee makes their initial cut in early August.
KREM 2 has also created a Jerry Kramer Hall of Fame Campaign Facebook page, where you can leave comments in support of the NFL great.
