NEW YORK -- He was a Greater Spokane League MVP, and became the Huskies single season rushing leader in 2013. Now Bishop Sankey is an NFL running back.
The Titans selected Sankey in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He is the first running back off of the board. He was the 54th pick overall in the NFL Draft.
Sankey - who ended his Bullpup career as the GSL's top all-time rusher with 4,355 yards - set a new Washington rushing record, with 1,870 yards as a junior. He decided to skip his senior season to enter the draft.
In 2012 Sankey became Washington's feature back. As a sophomore he finished with 1,439 yards. That total was third-highest in Husky single-season history.
