Chase Blakley had a change of heart late in the recruiting process, which led to a decision that left him smiling on National Signing Day.

The Coeur d'Alene tight end signed with Boise State, who he committed to the week before Signing Day. Blakley had previously given his word to Washington in May of 2013.

"I just felt more comfortable with the Boise State staff," Blakley said. "They recruited me really hard."

The Broncos just went through a coaching change, with Chris Petersen leaving and Bryan Harsin taking over in Boise.

Blakley is widely considered one of the best players at his position in the nation. In 2013 he caught 47 passes for 762 yards and 11 touchdowns.
