PITTSBURG, Calif. -- It sounds like former Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones is having no problem impressing NFL scouts.
Jones, who couldn't perform in most events at the NFL Combine because of a broken foot, held a pro day on Thursday morning at Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg, California. It's all in preparation for the NFL Draft that starts on April 28th.
According to various reports, Jones ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.33 seconds, while also recording an 11-foot broad jump and 39 1/2-inch vertical. All of those measurements would have ranked among the top running backs at the combine.
Jones is skipping his senior season at EWU to enter the draft. He was originally projected as a third round selection, but it sounds like he's improving his status with solid workouts.
