CHENEY -- The Eastern Washington football team kicked off fall football camp in Cheney on Monday. That means the Eagles have just 25 days until their season opener on September 2nd at Nevada.
EWU is coming off an 8-4 season last year. They made it to the playoffs last year, but were eliminated by Stephen F. Austin in the first round.
The Eags lost a bunch of key players from that team, including quarterback Matt Nichols, wide receiver Aaron Boyce, and tight end Nathan Overbay.
Eastern was able to reloaded with a strong recruiting class in the offseason though. The key recruit is quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell. He transferred from Southern Methodist University and was named the starter at EWU after spring drills.
