CALGARY -- Eastern Washington quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell signed with the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders on Monday.
Mitchell went unpicked in the National Football League Draft last weekend. Instead of signing with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent, Mitchell is taking his skills directly to Canada.
After spending two seasons at Southern Methodist, Mitchell guided the Eagles to a national championship in 2010, and then won the Walter Payton Award (best offensive player in the FCS) last season.
