CHENEY -- Eastern Washington's Taiwan Jones and Matt Johnson were honored by the Big Sky Conference on Monday.

Jones is the Offensive Player of the Week, while Johnson is the Defensive Player of the Week.

Jones wracked up 305 all-purpose yards in Saturday's win against Montana. He ran the ball a career-high 27 times for 221 yards and a touchdown. Jones also caught three passes for 60 yards, and added 24 more yards on a punt return and kick return.

Johnson made eight tackles and intercepted two passes against the Grizzlies. It's the second time he's received Big Sky Conference Defensive Players of the Year honors in his career.

The Eagles return to action this weekend against Montana State. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:05pm (PT) in Bozeman.
