CHENEY -- The Eastern Washington football team looks to bounce back after last weekend's loss when they face Weber State on Saturday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 12:35pm in Ogden, Utah. The game will be televised regionally by Altitude Sports and Entertainment.
The Eagles haven't found any success on the road this year. They lost at Nevada in their season opener, performed poorly in a win against Central Washington at Qwest Field, and lost in Bozeman last week against Montana State.
A big reason for that could be slow starts for EWU. They've been outscored 57-21 in the first quarter so far this year. The Eagles have not held a lead after the opening stanza all year. They must clean that up this weekend against the Wildcats.
Eastern running back Taiwan Jones, who was injured in last Saturday's game against the Bobcats, is probable for the game against Weber State. He did not practice with the team on Tuesday.
While Weber State is 0-2 on the road as well, they have the luxury of playing at home this weekend (where they are 2-0). They've scored 70 combined points in their first two games in Ogden this year. One of their road losses was at Boston College on September 4th, while the other was a seven-point let down against Sacramento State.
