MOSCOW -- The day Paul Petrino has spent decades preparing for is nearly here.
Saturday marks the long time college football assistant's head coaching debut. Petrino will lead Idaho into North Texas for their 2013 opener. The path that led the Montana native to Moscow included time as an assistant for the Vandals.
Now, Petrino's own high tempo, high intensity practices have become a fixture at Idaho. The coach is always demanding of his guys. Don't expect that to change Saturday, or for a personal milestone to distract him from the task at hand.
"I don't think it will be a huge deal," Petrino said.
Idaho visits North Texas Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
